Girl carrying a large gift

By gbhanu on Oct 22, 2009 | In Handmade Cards | 2 feedbacks »

Meet my newest creation Aditi, a sanskrit name meaning boundless. She represents unlimited space and consciousness basically meaning infinity. Aditi is seen carrying a large birthday present. Aditi was painted on watercolor paper, outlined in ink and then attached to a cardstock paper. I stitched a button on her dress as Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps Challenge 2 required the use of buttons. Enjoy my handmade card.

Supplies: Plain cardstock, watercolor paper, water color paints, ink pen, glue and a button

Girl with flowers card

By gbhanu on Oct 11, 2009 | In Handmade Cards | 2 feedbacks »

This is my original drawing of a girl offering flowers to her friend on her birthday. The girl was painted on watercolor paper, outlined in ink and then attached to a cardstock paper. I am not too fond of symmetry and that should explain the layout of the papers on the card. The card size is 5 X 7 inches to fit into my newly purchased A7 size envelope.

I created this card for my childhood best friend for her birthday. I don’t remember her likes and dislikes even though we are still in touch. Flowers is something everyone likes and hence this girl is seen offering flowers.

The timing was perfect for Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps Challenge 1.

Supplies: Plain cardstock, watercolor paper, water color paints, ink pen and glue

Hope you like this card as much as I enjoyed creating it.

Lady With A Lamp - Handmade card

By gbhanu on Oct 7, 2009 | In Handmade Cards, India | 3 feedbacks »

This is my original drawing of an Indian lady holding a lamp. The lady was painted on watercolor paper, outlined in ink and then attached to a cardstock paper. This challenge required the use of only blue and red colors and hence these are the dominant colors including the use of blue ink for the outline.

Diwali/Deepavali, the festival of lights a major festival of India is on Oct 17/18 this year and this card seems perfect for this occasion.

I made this card for Paperminutes Sketch Challenge 83.

Supplies: Plain cardstock, watercolor paper, water color paints, ink pen and glue
